Dogs are a man's best friend. They are sweet, cuddly, and gentle beings who give us a ray of sunshine when all we see is rain. And for someone who recently lost their best friend, it's a good way to deal with stress and grief.
That's why K Brosas decided to adopt one of Chokoleit's most loved dogs. If you don't already know, Chokoleit was K's best friend. But then, the comedian passed away recently due to health problems.
Now, K is one best friend less, and Chokoleit's five pets are now without their master.
Aside from being a funny guy, Chokoleit was also known to be an animal lover. He had five dogs. -- a golden retriever, a lhasa apso, a toy poodle, and two more. Now that he is no longer in the living world, K Brosas took it upon herself to take good care of one of Chokie's pets.
In an Instagram post, she shared a photo of her and one of the dogs with the caption:
"Hi from channel! Isa SA limang aso ni chokie.. andito lahat sila ngayon SA lamay pero eto lang nahawakan ko.. At nakaka tuwa kasi pinangako saken ni chokie na bibigyan nya ako NG puppy, kaya naman meron nakong aso!! Kc binilin na pala nya na yung isa SA 4 na anak ni channel saken.. 2 months old pa Lang.. syempre ang name NG bago kong puppy ay... chokie! Salamat at Labyu chokie!!"
K happily shared that Chokie actually bequeathed one of his pet's 4 puppies to K. She was happy to share the news despite still mourning for the loss of her good friend.
Meanwhile, in an interview with ABS-CBN, K shared her precious moments with Chokoleit.
"Si Chokoleit, matagal ko na 'yang kaibigan, hindi pa kami parehong artista. Para sa kaalaman ng iba, sabay kami halos nagsama sa sing-along... 25 years ago. Batang-bata pa lang ako 18 o 19 ganyan. And then, nagkakilala kami kasi 'yun nga. Basta sobra akong tawang-tawa sa kanya,"
"Hanggang ngayon hindi pa mag-sink in, sobra. Tama 'yung sinabi ni Pooh para lang siyang isang malaking joke. Dapat kaming apat 'yon, kami ang magko-close ng event pero dahil sa schedule hindi natuloy," she tells.
What could have happened if K and the rest of her friends were there for Chokie? Would he have survived? We can never tell. But it's a good thing that at least for K, she now has a new companion that will get her through the loss of Chokoleit. And that's none other than her new puppy, Chokie!
