Despite facing serious backlash, Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde seem to be enjoying every moment spent with each other.
Maine also known as "Yaya Dub" was one half of "AlDub" or the onscreen love team between Alden Richards and herself. They gained national success in Eat Bulaga's "Kalyeserye" and have some deep loving and hard core following.
Everyone knew that their relationship was strictly onscreen but Maine and Alden are really good friends. It's actually perfectly fine and normal for Maine to engage in her own relationship.
Meanwhile, Arjo is the son of Sylvia Sanchez, and is also an actor gaining fame in ABS-CBN. He bravely faced everyone who ever questioned his love for Maine and continues to do so every single day.
For her part, Maine admitted her relationship with Arjo Atayde in her Facebook page @TheRealYayaDub. This post includes a photo of the couple obviously in love. The photo was from a similar post of Arjo, who posted his copy on Maine's birthday.
This was received with mixed comments by netizens.
On the caption of her post, Maine said:
"You might be waiting for an explanation as to why I chose him. Excuse me for saying this but... why not? You have listed a long list of reason why I shouldn't but we all know it's made out of hatred, anger, and disappointment. I chose not to judge his character for whatever he's done in the past because that's not define him as a person. I was raised to never judge a person, to always see the goodness of people no matter how other people see them."
Apparently, Maine and Arjo don't care what you say. They are in love and will stay in love until they want to. And frankly, why should you care?
