Amid the sadness the entertainment industry felt for the loss of Chokoleit, their friend, family, and inspiration, celebrities, artists, singers, and comedians join together to remember the life of Chokoleit.
Chokoleit met the Lord this early morning after experiencing difficulty in breathing during what is now known to be his final set in Kawayan Festival in Abra. His friends desperately tried taking him to the hospital but the comedian was already gone.
Now, the people of the showbiz world could do nothing but try and remember Chokoleit for the true entertainer he was, a good friend, and a wise man.
Vice Ganda led the tribute to Chokoleit with his tweets
"Thank you Lord for giving me a chance to meet Chokoleit and become his friend. I'm sad that we lost him but happy that he’ll be in a much peaceful and happier place now with you."
"Thanks for everything Chokie. I love you!"
Other celebrities soon followed suit. Even Ogie Alcasid, Paulo Avelino, Kip Oebanda, and Amy Perez wrote their dedication and farewell for the comedian.
His talent manager, Ogie Diaz, was just at a loss for words, saying simply "Nakakalungkot" on his Facebook account.
There is still no news about the true cause of his passing. His last video was well-documented and you can clearly see Chokoleit's struggle to finish the set. But one thing is clear, he was already not feeling well during the show.
Let this remind us, celebrities and ordinary citizens alike, to take care of our health and know when to rest. We may not know what will happen to us in the future, and just like Chokoleit, we must be able to at least inspire people before we pass on. Chokoleit made us
