Kapamilya star Jericho Rosales is one of the most sought-after male celebrities of his generation. Nowadays, his career as a leading man took off due to the immense success of their soap opera "Halik." However, unbeknownst to most people, Jericho also has a son who has taken after his good looks and 'artistahin' genes.
Meet Santino Rosales, the unico hijo of Jericho Rosales with his former lover, Kai Palomares. Santino, who is now 18-year-old, currently stands at 6'1 and has inherited the good looks and sculpted physique of his father. As a matter of fact, some fans even claimed that Jericho and Santino only look like brothers.
Even though he is still young, Santino is already making a name for himself in the modelling industry. These days, the 18-year-old model busies himself with his endorsements and shows after signing up in the Professional Models Association in the Philippines.
In an interview, Santino revealed that his mother is the reason behind his love for modelling. Back in the days, his mother, Kai Palomares, is also a top-earning model. Unlike the cutthroat showbiz industry, Santino liked the "presentable and classy" atmosphere in modelling:
"And that’s why I got influenced to be a model because, through her ways, she showed me how it’s very presentable, how it’s very classy. It just appealed to me, and it clicked for me right away.”
Speaking of show business, does Santino have any future plans to follow the footsteps of his father? Although he has the 'artistahin' genes of his dad, Santino prefers to stay away from the limelight. Not wanting to live behind his father's shadow, Santino would rather make a name for himself in the modelling industry:
“I’ve seen the way the industry is, and I’ve seen the way it gets to you, and it doesn’t appeal to me. I’d rather stay outside the limelight and also because of competition. People will start comparing me with my dad like what happens with other people, and I don’t want that. I’d rather build myself as my image, not as someone’s son.”
