Mama's Quaratine Store: Pakulo ng isang ina sa mga chikiting niya, patok online!

Amid the enhanced community quarantine, many children who are forced to stay at home have developed a more addictive habit of using their cellphones, playing games and watching TV 24/7. Without online classes and not enough solutions to keep away the kids from technologies, another dilemma on education aspect would welcome the teachers once the school resumes.

And it would be much lower reading comprehension and less focused students who procrastinate more because of the temptations from video games.

Worried their her children might experience the same thing, Mommy Hycinth Clor de Arta came up with a brilliant idea.

And she was aiming not only to lessen the time her kids spent on gadgets but to also encourage them to do the chores (in a way they would not completely notice.)

She set up a mini convenient store inside her house and called it “Mama's sari-sari store". It contains sweets like candies and chocolates, biscuits and some snacks that the children can get only if they accomplished a certain task in the house.

And to maintain the kids academic knowledge, she held a system where the kids will know how to compute by paying play moneys they got as a “compensation” from doing the household chores.

She also kept a signage where it indicates the rules on sari-sari store such as the curfew, the requirement to spray sanitizers on their hands first before buying anything, and to strictly observe social distancing while wearing a mask whenever they are going to purchase anything.

Moms who have seen Hycinth’s post thanked her for her bright idea.
