Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., also known as "Bong Revilla", is a Filipino actor that also became a TV Host, and now a senator. After his fame on showbiz, he started trying his luck on politics and that is where his family began following his steps. In 2009, he legally changed his surname to Bong Revilla as per the public's prior acknowledgment on his showbiz exposure.
His journey in the senate was a series of roller coaster events, where he got charged with plunder for the 10 million pork barrel scam in 2013, together with Jinggoy Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile.
Revilla was the only one left in detention after the two was successfully granted to bail in jail.
After this controversy, he spent 4 years in jail and eventually ran again for a senatorial position last 2018 elections.
After the COVID-19 news outbreak, the senator was reported to undergo self quarantine after he was exposed to a PUI and have obeyed to spend 14 days as per DOH's protocol.
But it was not too long when the news broke about his extended quarantine period after his staff died due to COVID-19.
The senator, albeit being under isolation, was still keen and active on social media as he keeps his followers updated about his and Bacoor's status, the place where most Revilla governs.
Few days ago, Revilla posted a video to update that finally, he is now free from isolation but apparently, he was bitten by a dog and is now once again being cautious on human interaction to avoid rabies infections.
According to the senator, he prefers to get bitten by a dog than contracting COVID-19 because rabies can be prevented by vaccines and medications, while the virus, as we all know, is much more dangerous.
