Being an OFW is a job that requires the strength of the mind as well as the mental and physical being. Those who choose to work abroad in order to provide a better future for their family are our modern day heroes.
Apart from the hardship that they get from working far from the country, another thing that they always dread is the part of saying goodbye to their family when it is finally time to go back to their work after a vacation. This is especially true for those who have children that they will be leaving behind.
We have seen countless videos wherein children are crying whenever it is time to say goodbye to their OFW parents. This is why this dad thought of a brilliant way to say goodbye to his son without seeing him cry.
In the video posted by Nafson Tolentino, he can be seen standing beside their car with his wife and their son. A piece of cloth like a blanket can also be seen on the ground.
In the latter part of the video, it became clear that he was going to use the blanket to distract his son and let him enjoy while he leaves for abroad.
The father proceeded in covering himself with the blanket making it seem like a magic show for his son. He did it a couple of times to the delight of his son, but on the last attempt, instead of appearing in front of the son again, he ran in front of the car while the son thinks that he just disappeared.
He can be seen on the far side of the road crossing to the airport where his son is not able to see him.
It's admirable that this father is willing to work far from his son just so he can provide him a better future. Salut to you Sir.
