Poor-Looking Man Ignored by Everyone at Bike Shop, Ends Up Buying P1.2 Million Bike in Cash

As the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. Unfortunately, most people rely on shallow physical appearance alone to make assumptions about a person. People will size you up and judge you for the way you look or dress, without even trying to get to know you first.

This is exactly what these salesmen did to an old man in Thailand. Salesman are keen to attract customers, but they are also picky and meticulous in sizing up the customer's potential to pay. Unfortunately for them, they did not know that the old man has a big secret.

According to the reports circulating online, an old man entered a high-end bike shop. He was humbly dressed; only wearing a shabby red shirt and casual flip flops. Because of his looks, many salesmen thought that he had no intention of buying a bike.

Although the old man was not sent out of the shops, he was not entertained either. Several salesmen ignored him as he passed by, looking at the high-end motorcycles one by one. No one attempted to assist him or even answer his queries about the displayed bikes.

Fortunately, one bike shop showed hospitality to the old man. In spite of his looks, they provided him with good service--just like how they treat their other customers equally. In the end, the old man ended up buying a motorbike on the spot with cash!

It turns out that the old man is a retired mechanic named Lung Decha. He has been saving for his whole life to buy his dream bike and finally, he was able to purchase a Harley Davidson bike for 600,000 Baht, or approximately PHP 1.2 million! The even more surprising fact, he paid all of it in cash.

His sister was the one who accompanied him to the bike shops and took his picture. We're sure that the other salesmen who ignored him had their heads scratching when he finally paid! This just goes to show that physical appearance is an unreliable way to size up a man.
