It looks like this 2019, we'll be saying goodbye to one of ABS-CBN's longest running teleserye, FPJ's "Ang Probinsyano". With the passing of several known characters, the show might actually be ending soon. Lito Lapid was the first major character to go, who played the role of Pinuno, or the head of the opposition. Soon, Don Emilio, played by Eddie Garcia, one of the main antagonists also said goodbye to the show. Now, Brando Cabrera, or Mark Anthony Fernandez bid farewell to the beloved show. He played the role of the son of the President of the Philippines in the TV series.
To mark the end of Brando Cabrera, Mark Anthony entertained an interview with Coco Martin PH.
Mark Anthony expressed his sorrow for leaving the show, but also thanked the management for giving him this project. He said that the show became a stepping stone for actors and actresses who want to be known, or be known again in the entertainment industry.
"Siyempre nalulungkot ako na magtatapos na ako dito... 'yung role ko sa "Ang Probinsyano," says the son of the late "Daboy", Rudy Fernandez. "Thankful din naman ako na napasama ako dito dahil narere-introduce yung mga artista. Mas nakikilala lahat ng artista after lumabas sa "Ang Probinsyano."
Mark Anthony also admired Coco Martin who played both lead role and director for the duration of the series.
"Si Direk Coco isa sa the best actors na nakilala ko in and out of the set, alam mo 'yun?" he said. "Napakabait niya. Napaka-humble. Napakagaling na direktor. At makatao."
Recall that "Ang Probinsyano" started back in 2015 with its first plot to be about the lives of identical twins Ricardo Dalisay and Dominador De Leon, both played by Coco Martin. It continued on to be four years now, with its narrative expanding and reflecting real life situations of the country today. With its impending farewell, fans and viewers alike will surely miss the stunts, the cast, and the stories they learn in the show.
