Nag-react si Teddy Corpuz sa Pagmumura ni JK Labajo sa Kanyang Concert

JK Labajo has been receiving mixed comments about his actions in one of his concerts where he gave the middle finger and bad mouthed one audience member for repeatedly shouting Darren Espanto's name. He even went as far as deleting his social media accounts just to prove a point on how difficult it is to maintain sanity amid the fame and the infamy surrounding show business.

However, from one musician to the next, Teddy Corpus, lead vocalist of "Rocksteddy" and regular host in "It's Showtime" spoke up about the issue.

According to the veteran rock star, he was disappointed with the way JK reacted to his fan. He explained that he would have just laughed and brushed it off altogether.

“Kung sa akin gawin yun, tawanan ko na lang sabihin ko, ‘Uy, thank you, ano, gusto mo ba kakanta pa ako ng kanta niya?" he said to PEP.

"Sa akin kasi, hindi siya cool. Para sa akin, kailangan may respeto pa rin sa iyo ang mga tao, and you would not gain the respect of other people, especially your listeners, kung minumura mo sila o pinipeke mo lang sila," he further said.

According to Teddy, JK must learn to show respect to his listeners, regardless of their preference. If he would say bad words to him, then he'd be faking it.

We got to hand it to Teddy. Indeed, any musician will not last long in the industry if we let our temper get in the way of things. As a public figure, we must inspire goodwill and kindness wherever we go. The right amount of humor, self-esteem, and humility will make us invincible against such remarks. Take Teddy, for example. JK should learn to manage his temper and understand that his reputation will be at stake if he continues this kind of attitude. Nevertheless, as members of the audience, we must also show respect for people, and understand that celebrities are people, too.
