Pastora Ginamit Pa ang Pangalan ng Diyos sa Panloloko sa Mga Nais Mangibang-bansa!

When you're close to the Lord, or do the Work of God for a living, it's easy for people to trust you. Priests, Pastors, Nuns, and even clergymen are always welcome guests in most Filipino Christian households. Maybe that's why this couple, two pastors, used their credibility and the trust that the society affords them, to trick other people.

You see, this couple of pastors used their status as a front for an illegal recruitment operation that sought to trick people and getting their hard earned money.

According to the people who they previously tricked, they engage people with promises of a good yield. They promised a salary of $2,500 for a secretarial job. They also promised a monthly income of 75,000 pesos just to be a fruit picker! Another one of their targets even said that he paid them a placement fee of 35,000 for nothing. Most of the cash used to pay the pastors were the last money that these people desperately used in the hopes of a better future. One had to sell their house, their car, and even close shop just for the money. That's why they sought the help of Bitag to finally catch the shameless "Workers of God".

The Bitag Team wasted no time and caught the couple red-handed in an entrapment operation with the authorities. The camera caught the pastor wife accepting the mark money for "application" and that's when the authorities swooped in to get them.

The couple even denied all allegations and even had the gall to mention the Lord in their trickery.

"The Lord is telling me not to touch the envelope," the woman said.

They also tried to call their connections at the army, but unsurprisingly, no one came to their aid.

The two were brought in Camp Bagong Diwa for interrogation. The pastors still kept denying that they are illegal recruiters. The woman even said that they only do consultancy for people with the desire to go abroad. They only help hopefuls in passport application, obtaining medical approval, and other assistance for those who don't know where to start. But the policemen were unflinching and said that the two already accepted the mark money for payment. The woman still tried to wiggle her way out by saying that this was only payment for an application for visiting visa.

In her rage, one of the victims almost got to kick the guilty woman. The victims only wished for the two pastors to be put behind bars so that they will no longer be able to repeat their modus operandi. For them, justice has been served that day.

It's a friendly reminder for those OFW hopefuls to go to a legitimate agency to ask for help. Remember that there is no easy way to do things, unless you want to fall prey to the likes of these pastors. Do you have any tips for people who want to go abroad? Share us your thoughts below!
