Vicente Castelo Sotto III, also known as "Tito Sotto" is a Filipino politician and is now the incumbent Senate President of the Philippines. He is currently serving his fourth term in the Senate from 2016 elections, and has already served two consecutive terms from 1992 to 2004; Sotto was then re-elected to the Senate in 2010.
But before becoming a politician, Tito was first a musician, actor and TV host of the longest running noon-time show in the Philippines, Eat Bulaga.
Sotto, along with the other politicians were now in a hot seat amid the COVID-19 outbreak wherein people started to get enraged because of the "poor" and "slow" action of the government towards the pandemic and towards the country's citizens itself.
Lack of concrete plans and inadequate efforts to support the people especially the healthcare workers is what everyone screams out, and will never be tired of doing so.
Thankfully, there are lots of compassionate and generous citizens who are more than willing to help and donate until all of us get through crucial and trying times.
And just recently, Tito Sotto released a statement addressing some people who donates and documents everything for "fame".
According to the senate president, above the objective of feeding the hungry people, the main and subtle goal that is slowly showing out is they were only feeding their ego.
On his Instagram post, Sotto wrote, “If you want to feed the Hungry, then feed the Hungry. But the moment you post it on Social Media, you are just feeding your EGO!
“My amended version from John Wooden,” the politician added.
Joey de Leon, a musician, comedian, actor and Tito Sotto's co-host in Eat Bulaga seemed to share the same sentiment with the senator.
"Aray! Ang daming sapol!" Joey replied.
