GMA 7 has been home to a number of talents from their own singing and acting competition. Although some have left the nest to pursue other opportunities elsewhere, GMA still prides itself with its homegrown talent who stayed and have now made a name for themselves.
A good example of this would be Julie Anne San Jose. Julie Anne started her career at the age of 11 when she competed in Popstar Kids back in 2005. She did not snag first place, but landed a solid gig when she was grouped with other Popstar Kids Finalists like Rita De Guzman, Pocholo Bismonte, Renzo Almario, and Vanessa Rangadhol. The group honed her singing and hosting skills. Julie Anne successfully graduated from Sugarpop and was relaunched as a solo artist at the start of Party Pilipinas in 2011.
8 years has passed and Julie Anne San Jose has blossomed into a beautiful woman who can sing her heart out. She became one of the mainstays of GMA's various variety shows. And now, with the launching of Studio 7, GMA's newest late night variety show, Julie Anne has been delegated as a host.
And as if proving that she is now already a woman, Julie posed for a casual photo by the beach when Studio 7 was taping their beach episode. This photo, posted on Instagram, garnered several reactions from netizens. And who wouldn't? With her sculptured body, pink swimsuit, and translucent visor, Julie wowed everyone -- fans and netizens alike!
While most of the comments were positive, others actually scorned Julie for her pose. In an interview for 24 Oras, Julie Anne admitted that the photo was quite candid. She just wanted to pose for the camera after a long work session and the rest is history.
You have certainly proved that you are no longer the little girl you used to be, Julie. You are now a fully-grown woman, out to conquer our hearts and the world.
