Are you curious about the reason why some people have a darker nape? Well, the doctors say that this symptom, Acanthosis nigricans, is common among people with d!abetes, obesity, low thyroid levels, or PCOS. This is usually caused by a high insulin rate that destroys our skin cells.
Meanwhile, "kulani" or swollen lymph nodes are commonly caused by an infection or inflammation due to viruses from the oral cavity, face, ears, or neck. Lymph nodes actually filter foreign bodies entering our own. Having swollen lymph nodes could be a symptom for such viruses but can also mean that you might have the Big C. For children, swollen lymph nodes usually mean that they have the primary complex, or tuberculosis.
Dr. Marquez and Dr. Quillamor also answered the myth about HFMD. According to these experts, children are not the only ones vulnerable with this condition. Since it's viral, any adult may contact this, too.
