In this day and age, playing outside of the house is rarely the option of kids every summer. Instead of playing the classic Filipno games like "Patintero" or "Tumbang Preso", kids nowadays prefer playing online games in the comforts of their home or inside an air conditioned computer shop.

Games like "DOTA2", "League of Legends", and "Ragnarok" made players hooked with PC gaming and even became part of international sports events like the SEA Games.
That's why, in this day and age, people are generally more accepting on the online gaming culture. But one mother took her acceptance to the next level. In a viral video, you can see that she even went to the computer shop, where his son normally stays, to feed him by hand!
According to sources, the boy is hooked with one of the newest online games, "Rules of Survival".
Rules of Survival is a battle royale game where a group of 99 players are thrown out of an airplane and into an island. The objective of the game is to be the last man standing in order to win.
The mother, Lilybeth Marvel, could only do so much because his 13-year-old son, Carlito had his eyes glued to the monitor for 48 hours. It is also said that Carlito stopped his schooling because of his behavior.
After the video went viral, netizens began to react about the boy's behavior, and the mother's response to it. They said that the mother should know better than let her son succumb to such practice.
Lilybeth defended herself saying that she definitely talked to her son about it. She used to be mad and try to prevent him from coming to the shop, but he finds ways of sneaking out. She said:
“I used to just nag about his online games. But that didn’t work. So I’m trying a different approach. I try to make him feel that whatever is happening in his life, I am his mother who loves him and takes care of him.”
While some people might disagree with the way she is dealing with Carlito, we must respect Lilybeth's way of raising her son. After all, mother knows best.
