The worsening situation of COVID-19 here in the Philippines is beyond alarming. Aside from the virus, the whole nation fights against starvation too. And to say that is causes fear and panic towards the people is an understatement. With a total of 230 confirmed cases and 18 deaths, this pandemic is clearly not gonna end any sooner.
Among the fatal cases was a Filipino billionaire who is known by his excellence in chemical trading business.
Necesito U. Sytengco,the founder and chairman of SBS Philippines Corp., has been reported dead due to virus infection last March 17,2020. This was confirmed by a publicly-listed chemical firm,
In a close interview with the Philippine Stock Exchange, SBS stated: “Mr. Sytengco was the Company’s President from its incorporation on July 17, 2001 to January 28, 2016 and also served as its chairman from March 5, 2015 until the present. Together with his children and long-time colleagues, Mr. Sytengco established the Sytengco Group of Companies and made it into one of the country’s premier conglomerates.”
Sytengco has spent over 40 years of his service and intelligence in the chemical trading business and has been ackknowledged numerous times because of his enormous and revolutionary contribution on shaping the Company strategy and leading the growth of the SBS Philippines Corp.
Before death, he was the Board Chairman of the corporations owned by the Sytengco Family which compromises Aneco Industries Corporation, Anesy Holdings Corporation, Sytengco Foundation, Baler Industrial Corporation, Sytengco Enterprises Corporation, and Swan Insurance Agency Corporation.
Sytengco is also known for his donations in Manila to fight Corona Virus.
